My Mission On Naturally Fighting Anxiety and Depression

It is hard to know where to begin. How do you change everything you ever knew about medicine, about your brain, about your body? We have been told that our body is like a machine, treat and maintain the symptoms, and you can have a decent quality of life… even though you’ll be on medications the rest of your life. Our food pyramid was inverted for so long, and along with it our view off food. As our culture continues to find new things to add to food, the worse our mental and physical health gets. The worse our health gets, the more medications get prescribed and the more money goes to the medical/political system.

I’m not here to make a political statement. I am however very conscientious and passionate about the delicate balance that our bodies are. We are a complex chemical beings, not machines. If you throw one thing out of whack, and it affects everything else. As such, we need to know our bodies. Our DNA makes us prone toward different levels in that balance, but we can affect that balance to our best mental and physical health. This consideration has to be taken seriously when it comes to the foods we eat, and the products we absorb.

Bringing awareness of this fact, and also highlighting the devastating effects it has on our mental health (not just the physical) is the primary focus of this blog. This is my mission! To bring to the table all the facts and practical advice in how to defeat your Anxiety and Depression! The brain’s health is inseparable from the gut. Astoundingly the gut is responsible for the production of 90% of serotonin and 60% of the dopamine in your body!

Here you will find reviews for products that I (or someone I know) have tried that are broken down to the smallest ingredient so you know EXACTLY what is in them! You will also find a list of products to avoid, and health info that will very practically help you on your journey to a cleaner and healthier lifestyle.

If you are suffering with Anxiety, Depression or PTSD, realize that you are not helpless! You can take charge of your body and mind, naturally. Your symptoms are caused by a combination of inflammation and lack of key nutrients (because of insufficiency in foods and a gut that is common in america that has been damaged by medications/diet/stress/traumatic events/vaccines and and more). But your body and mind are amazing… give them the tools that they need and they CAN recover.

However, I do want to mention that rebuilding takes time. There are some things that you can implement that will help you start feeling better right away: such as a healthy dose of magnesium, lithium orotate, omega-3, vitamin D, and your B vitamins.

Some changes will be hard… such as eliminating all bread (gluten) from your diet, as gluten is highly inflammatory to your system.

Cut out foods that cause sugar highs and crashes, because when your blood sugar is rising and falling constantly, it causes your body to lose key nutrients. Eat foods that are high in antioxidants (blueberries/raspberries/cranberries/cilantro), are anti-inflammatory (green leafy vegetables/broccoli/blueberries/pineapple/salmon/walnuts/chia seeds), and eat foods high in Omega-3 (avocado/ chia seeds/olive oil, etc)AVOID high fructose corn syrup and sugar replacements (these are extremely harmful to your health), vegetable/canola oil (replace with olive/coconut/avacado oil/irish butter), and use himalayan salt instead of the conventional table salt, as it has so many minerals that are amazing for your body!
